Pamela has been involved in social research for many years, and is currently completing her PhD research in Anthropology. In recent years she has used film as a research methodology, recognising the strengths of visual technology to ensure authenticity of data gathering, interpretation and representation.
She has sound skills in interview construction, background research and in-depth interviewing techniques, and has a passion for recording life histories. She has extensive experience as an interviewer, especially through her involvement with Steven Spielberg's, Survivors of the Shoah Visual History Foundation, and is also an accredited interviewer on behalf of the United Nations Human Rights commission for interviewing East Timorese people. She brings to Pamser Productions her proven skills in capturing peoples' ideas, developing them and translating them into appropriate formats with creative and compelling outcomes.
In a unique crossover between her research and her work in the aged care sector, she has developed a comprehensive understanding of the 'ageing industry' from a human and an analytical perspective, and has presented at conferences and written journal articles on related topics.
Pamela shares Sergio's commitment to social justice issues. While living in Canada and England, she took the opportunity to become involved in indigenous rights initiatives and grassroots community projects.
